Anyone who knows me isn't surprised that I became an author. Why? Because anyone who knows me knows that I'm a DRAMA QUEEN! I think that's why people like my books so much. My name is Jackie Pilossoph, and I'm a writer. I'm also a romantic, a mother, a Girl Scout leader, a work out fanatic, a reader, a movie lover, a Chicago Bulls fan, a coffee lover, a wine drinker, an ice-cream binger, and the biggest one, a STORY TELLER. I love, love, love to write! Whenever I'm feeling sad or depressed or lonely or anxious, writing is my therapy. It has helped me through some really rough times, including a time when my dad was sick and the months when my marriage was crumbling. People often say to me, "Divorce must be brutal. How did you get through it?" My reply is always, "Easy. I wrote a book about it." I'm a girl. I like to talk. I like to tell stories and I like to listen to other women who are just like me. I like meeting my friend Sandy for coffee and hearing about her date the night before. I like girl's nights out, and sangria, and sharing stories about relationships and sex and dating and parenting. I like to gossip about celebrities. And, I LOVE setting people up! I get so much joy out of introducing single women to single men. It makes me feel great, especially if I make a love connection! I believe I'm responsible for more than 10 marriages. I think what makes me a really good story teller, is that I find humor in just about everything. I think it's funny that I once got fired from a job on my birthday. "We're going to have to let you go," my boss said to me, as I stood there holding the birthday cake my co-workers bought me that day, the candles still standing on it. I think it's hilarious that a guy I was seeing told me he had to cancel our date because he had to take his mom out for her birthday, and that I ended up seeing him that night in the stands at the Cubs game during the seventh inning stretch, making out with a girl. People often can't believe the stories I have, but I swear, they're true! I hope you enjoy my books, and I hope they bring tears to your eyes, make you chuckle, have you laughing heartily at times and cause you to think about your own life in a happy, hopeful light. I believe in true love, and I'm not shy about saying that. Like a drug addict, I crave romance. So, to all the people who don't believe fairy tales really exist (or that they don't last), get a grip. Romantic, enchanting relationships are real. And they're possible. If you have the guts to go after them! |
